Arts & Culture Network

Mission Statement:
The Arts & Culture Network aims to connect women in DC to each other through the arts and to promote women in the arts.

Chair Bios:

Jonna Ashley has lived in the Washington DC area for four years and currently works in the membership department at American Association of Museums. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia where she studied Fine Art and Art History, and served as a docent at the University Museum. In addition to WIN, she has volunteered with organizations such as AmeriCorps NCCC, the Smithsonian Institution, Washington Humane Society and Capital Fringe Festival.  Jonna loves going to concerts, galleries, theater, film festivals, and of course museums!  She is excited to share her interest and experience in arts and culture with her fellow WIN members.

Kate Hewlings is Co-Chair of the Arts & Culture Network for WIN. She earned her BA in Anthropology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her MA in Museum Studies from University of Leicester, England. She works as a Record Evaluator for National Council of Architects Registrations Board (NCARB) in Washington, DC. She also volunteers as Archivist for Delta Phi Epsilon Archives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and for the Human Resources Association (National Capital Area) in their Education and Scholarship Program. Her interests include traveling, museums and archives, and international business.
