The purpose of the International Network is to inform women about current issues in international affairs and development, educate on global issues pertaining to women, and of course, network within and between international professional fields.

Beth Roberts is a graduate of Elon University, where she obtained a degree in Communications and a minor in Political Science. During college, Beth studied abroad for a semester studying language, politics and culture. After graduation, she moved to Washington D.C. to work for APCO Worldwide, a global public affairs and strategic communications firm. Her client portfolio at APCO includes the Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease (PFCD), the Global Alliance for Livestock Veterinary Medicines (GALVmed) and the Clinton Global Initiative. Outside of work, Beth is a member of the Washington Junior League, and the WeLEAD program.
Lauren Jenkins is currently the National Coordinator of EPIC: Promoting a Free & Secure Iraq. With EPIC, Lauren works to educate policymakers about humanitarian needs in Iraq and advocates for a stronger United States role in Iraq’s development and democratization. Before joining EPIC, Lauren supported human rights advocacy efforts at Amnesty International USA, Oxfam America, and the Genocide Intervention Network. She also interned with Congresswoman Barbara Lee and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Lauren has a Bachelor's degree from Howard University in African Studies.
