Key Hearing on Coal Plant: Your Chance to Speak Out!

As you may know, Old Dominion Electric Cooperative wants to build the biggest coal plant in Virginia in the Hampton Roads area. On Monday, Nov. 23rd, the Surry County Planning Commission is holding a public hearing on whether to allow ODEC to build this controversial plant. This is a crucial time to speak out against this monstrosity of a coal plant!

If you live near the proposed plant and would be affected by its toxic emissions of mercury, lead, and carbon dioxide, we urge you to come speak out against it.

The public hearing will be in the town of Surry at 7:00 pm, Monday Nov. 23rd.
