This workshop will be a comprehensive overview and analysis into the green building movement and specifically, upcoming changes to the LEED Rating System. Drawing from the experience of helping to write the LEED 2009 Reference Guide and Exam Prep Study Guides, GBS experts will provide an outline of the 2009 changes to the core LEED products using project examples to illustrate the core changes. This informative session will help you improve your understanding of what is coming and what impact these changes will have on your future projects. As a change of pace, July's program is oriented around social interaction and networking. Free of charge, this event is meant to encourage dialogue, networking and informal exchange of ideas around the topics of green building in our local communities. At this meeting, you will get an overview of what constitutes a C02 Footprint as well as discuss policies and needs that are driving C02 reductions, resources for companies to help measure/reduce their footprint and what future actions might look like to further reduce emissions.

Confirming and verifying that all building systems and equipment are functioning as appropriate according to the equipment schedule is good "cents" as well as earns points for all projects seeking LEED certification.
