Call for Volunteers - A Common Green

August 20th, 5-8pm - The Bently Reserve, San Francisco

The LEED certified Orchard Hotels and the Bently Reserve have partnered to create an unprecedented eco-event: they will gather San Francisco's green leaders under one roof for a special night of collaboration and creation. Bay Area nonprofits, foundations, and businesses will have a unique opportunity to connect face-to-face during this lively and inspiring evening. A first of its kind for San Francisco, A Common Green will give eco-friendly organizations the chance to network, communicate, and coordinate their efforts under one green roof. The possibilities for new partnerships, collaborations, and initiatives are endless - but the goal for a greener future is common to all.

Volunteers are needed at the event from 3:30pm to 7:30pm for the check-in table, to direct people to the different areas of the event, and at the end of the event, to hand out thumb drives with green information. To volunteer, please contact Jim Bruels by August 12th. Check out the event and Facebook and share with your friends.

USGBC-NCC & EGB SF Summer BBQ Mixer

August 21st - Dolores Park, San Francisco

Come join us for the first ever USGBC-NCC & EGB SF Summer BBQ Mixer.  As summer starts to fade, we are going to host a fun event for USGBC-NCC members and non-members alike to get together, trade ideas, network, and share a meal in a relaxed atmosphere. The event will be held at the picnic tables towards the Southern end of Dolores Park (right next to the playground).  The event cost goes to buying food for everyone (vegetarian options will be available) but please bring your own beverages.  Feel free to bring your kids, your dog, a fun game, or anything else to pass the time at the park. RSVP!

Join EGB-SF for PARK(ing) Day!

Friday, September 18th - San Francisco
Originally created by Rebar San Francisco art and design collective, PARK(ing) Day is an annual, one-day, global event where artists, activists, and citizens collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spots into "PARK(ing)" spaces: temporary public parks.

EGB-SF is partnering with a few other non-profit organizations to transorm a few parking spaces, and we seeking volunteers to help out throughout the day.  If you are interested send us an email.
