Every Child Deserves a Family - Act Now!

Over 115,000 children in foster care are hoping to be adopted into permanent, loving families. Some states and adoption agencies discriminate against potential parents based on their marital status, sexual orientation or gender identity. Unfairly rejecting some parents before the adoption process begins, means some children might never be adopted!

The proposed Every Child Deserves a Family Act would require states and agencies to treat all children and families equally. Finally, the best interests of a child will determine which parent(s) are right for them, and every parent will be eligible for careful screening.
