Singles advocate (and former AtMP Board Member) Rachel A. Buddeberg will present tips and strategies on how to be happily single. In our couple-centered world, choosing to be single rarely seems a viable option. Instead of accepting the myth that we can only be happy if we are coupled, Rachel has set out to bust this myth in her own life and in the lives of other singles. Drawing on the work of Marie Edwards, Bella DePaulo and Kay Trimberger, as well as her own research on stereotypes, Rachel has developed a workshop that empowers singles to embrace the choice to remain single - for a while or for a life-time. The workshop provides tools for fighting internalized and external singlism, the stereotyping and stigmatization of singles.
Rachel offers this free workshop as part of her life design business, Your Life Is A Garden, believing that we can design happiness into our lives even if we don’t conform to cultural stereotypes.
