Public Lands at Threat!

 

Dear Friends,

 

You may have heard that the Public Lands Bill, with the largest new protections for wilderness and scenic rivers in over a decade lost by TWO votes in the House last week!  There will be a revote early this week and we have seven congressional targets in California (see list below with phone numbers).  Those who voted yes need acknowledgement and encouragement. Those who voted no, need to hear why this bill is so important and needs to pass.  Try to find a personal connection to these districts and make a call, or ask a colleague or whomever you know in these districts to call.  We can't lose this one!

Ask them to vote YES to the "Revolutionary War and War of 1812 Battlefield Protection Act, the bill which includes the "Omnibus Public Land Bill."
