2) Thank @WhiteHouse for Protecting SNAP in the Fiscal Cliff Negotiations
Action for Members of Congress: Start the 113th Congress off on the right note by congratulating your new Members of Congress and sharing with them information and resources that #SNAPworks. Share resources that document the need for SNAP: Census data depicting SNAP participation by congressional district; and FRAC’s polling data demonstrating across-the-board and strong support for SNAP and opposition to cuts.
If your House Member is returning, remember to thank him/her (if appropriate) for being one of the more than 100 House Members that cosponsored H.R. 760 -- a resolution in the 112th Congress that opposed cuts to SNAP.
Action for the White House: Thank President Obama via social media for standing up and protecting SNAP during the Fiscal Cliff negotiations. In addition, thank the President for protecting refundable tax credits for low-income working families, including the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Child Tax Credit (CTC).
