While announcement of the date of the Presidential signing of The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act (S. 3307) is expected shortly, advocates anticipate that the signing will be accompanied – in a signing statement or in prepared remarks – by a strengthened commitment by the President to fix the SNAP cut contained in the bill.
This week and in the remaining days of the Lame Duck session, advocates are redoubling efforts to push for the SNAP fix to be included in any legislative vehicle.
