Tell Netanyahu: Stop Demolishing Bedouin Villages

The Netanyahu government marked the one-year anniversary of the first demolition of the unrecognized Bedouin village of Al-Arakib this week by suing the Bedouin residents for 1.8 million shekels, the cost of its previous demolitions, and razing their village for the 25th time.

And now the government is planning to demolish two more Negev Bedouin villages and uproot 1,000 Bedouin Israeli men, women and children from their homes, all to make way for a new Jewish settlement and Jewish National Fund forests.

But it won't end there. Prime Minister Netanyahu is considering expelling as many as 30,000 Bedouin men, women and children from their homes, and razing twenty more Negev Bedouin villages - for even more Jewish settlements and JNF forests.

Tell Netanyahu: It's time to end the demolitions. Israel can't build a future of peace, security and democracy on the soil of injustice.

Is Your Rabbi a Human Rights Hero?

RHR-NA is searching for rabbis who are human rights heroes.  Is your rabbi the one?  If so, nominate your rabbi as a human rights hero! Active community members from all over North America are invited to nominate their rabbi as a human rights hero. Two rabbis will be selected to be honored in person at the RHR-NA celebration on December 8, 2011 in New York City, as a guest of RHR-NA. Their stories will be featured on the RHR-NA website and shared via other related media.
