Coal companies are trying to push 150 million tons of dirty, dangerous coal, on rail through Montana, Idaho, Washington and Oregon to be loaded onto ships out of ports in Washington and Oregon and shipped to Asia to burn.  We agree with Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber in calling for a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) to ensure that the cumulative impacts of all these proposals are considered before any coal export projects are allowed to move forward.  We call on Senators Cantwell and Murray, our Members of Congress, and Governor Gregoire to demand a PEIS.  Please make your voice heard with them today.
