Oppose Cuts to Vital Transportation Programs!
Today and tomorrow, the House of Representatives will be considering amendments to the continuing resolution that determines how federal funding for this year is allocated. Many of these amendments will be direct attacks on programs we care about, such as transit and inter-city rail funding. Because there will be so many amendments and we do not yet know the content of all of them, we are creating a special webpage for partners where we will be listing these amendments together with one or two talking points about why they are important. We will be updating this website regularly throughout the day. We encourage all partners to call the offices of your Representatives and urge them to oppose amendments that cut funding for programs we care about and support amendments that restore funding for good programs. We also encourage you to ask grasstops leaders in your networks to place phone calls as well.
