Share Your Thoughts With Hillary Clinton
Please sign your name below and tell the Secretary of State why you think investment in the world's women could pull millions out of hunger and poverty.
Many of the world leaders, CEOs and activists gathered in New York for the United Nations General Assembly and the Clinton Global Intiative seemed to agree on one thing. Investing in the world's women could be the key to solving many of our most pressing problems, from poverty to climate change.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said women play a key role in the recently released U.S. food security strategy, a plan to make sure the world's most vulnerable families no longer have to rely on handouts from governments or humanitarian aid organizations for their next meal. If we make even small investments in the world's women, chances are good they will take those resources and invest them back into their families, improving conditions for themselves and the communities in which they live. Let us know why you think women hold the best chance of breaking the cycle of hunger and poverty around the world. Mercy Corps will deliver your comments to the Secretary of State. |
