AB 441 (Monning): Building Healthy Communities
Currently, when the state provides guidance to local and regional government agencies on land use and transportation development, it does not adequately address how these policies impact the health of our communities. AB 441 would require the Office of Planning and Research to incorporate health in its General Plan Guidelines and the California Transportation Commission to include health in its Regional Transportation Plan Guidelines, ensuring that city, county, and regional governments consider the health implications of planning and development decisions.
