1st Annual Washington, DC Casino Night Event Recipient

At the Washington, DC Mardi Gras night funds were raised to support two Hurricane Katrina victims through the Bethel-Lutheran Church:

Karen Holmes received $10,000 to help rebuild her family’s home, as it was just outside the official flood zone and would receive no insurance. 

Mary Parker, an 82 year old woman, was living in a condemned house destroyed by the flood, and $5,000 helped her rebuild her house to be livable again.
