In 2005, Annapolis played host to Betterment’s first Hockey tournament at the United States Naval Academy.  Betterment members and friends traveled from around the country to join in a friendly game of hockey for a worthy a cause.  The event was such great fun, that the chapter hosted it again in 2006.

As of April 2011, the Annapolis chapter has partnered with the D.C. Chapter to host events in the DC Metro area. In 2010, the chapters hosted a Kentucky Derby Night at a private home in Annapolis, raising $500 for Betterment's Immediate Need Fund. In September 2010, members of the DC Chapter volunteered to pour beer at the Maryland Seafood Festival at Sandy Point State Park, raising over $500. In 2011, Betterment plans to host the Kentucky Derby Night on May 7 and return to the seafood festival in September.
