Money Out of Politics!

At a time when our nation’s highest court has recognized corporations as people and money as speech, corporate money is threatening our democracy in the District of Columbia.

The direct flow of corporate money to DC politicians’ campaigns stands in the way of progressive change in our city. Every time JUFJ fights for economic justice in DC, from the city budget to fair wages, these same corporate interests line up against us. JUFJ joined DC Public Trust in a city-wide campaign to ban direct corporate contributions to politicians.

On July 9, DC Public Trust submitted an incredible 30,000 signatures supporting a ballot measure against corporate campaign spending. Over 30 JUFJers volunteered for hundreds of hours to help.
