Lack of Rules on Weapons Trade Worldwide Is Bananas!

Every year, 12 billion bullets are produced worldwide, enough to kill nearly everyone on the planet twice. Yet, bananas have stricter international trade regulations than weapons and ammunition. That's bananas! But in July, world leaders are coming together to negotiate the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) to halt the spread of unregulated weapons worldwide. Tell Secretary Clinton to support a strong Arms Trade Treaty here.
Dear Madam Secretary, right now bananas have stricter rules governing their trade in international markets than weapons that contribute to armed conflict and human rights violations.
I urge the United States to strongly support the Arms Trade Treaty's provisions that blocks arms transfers to nations that violate human rights, includes rules for all conventional weapons like parts, tanks, and bullets, and is enforceable, transparent and effective.
Sincerely,
