The Chetco River provides life-giving water and habitat for many creatures, including a minority who seem to think it is OK to allow this vital part of our lives [human and non-human] be detroyed. The More....rest of us can use our democratic process to stop damage and mis-use of the precious resource that is the Chetco River. Thanks to the legislators and citizens who are participating in the struggle. Save our Chetco River! |

Thanks for stepping up to the plate and defending this rare and beautiful ecosystem, especially at a time when the economic downturn puts increased pressures on natural resources. |

I have helped in the enhancement of the Caves by removing rubble stuffed in side passages when man-made tunnels were built. The reward was to be allowed to crawl about in untraveled areas. I know its a More....special place.
The Chetco I have enjoyed in the form of its Forks, the Kalmiopsis, and the Harbor. Its a fabulous river system. |

Thank you so much for your efforts in protecting the Chetco River in Southern Oregon. Keeping this river clean and clear means so much to those of us living nearby! |

I have many friends who like to mine the rivers and suction dredge. They see this as the American way, the country way her in the Applegate. I saw the effect dredging had on the Trinity River in CA when More....I was a child. I love Oregon and have lived here most of my life. I am very thankful that you are protecting our rivers in Oregon from being fouled. Rivers are a mainstay of life and if they are polluted, we are polluted. |

I would like to thank Senators Wyden, Merkley and Congressman DeFazio for their efforts to protect the Chetco River and to let them know that I would not exchange one Oregon Coastal Wild and Scenic River More....including the Chetco and Siskiyou/Kalmiopsis Wilderness areas for Europe's monuments and ancient castles.
Sincerely,
Yvonne Maitland |

The Chetco River is one of the last pristine rivers in the entire country and many of us continue to voice concern for keeping this river safe for fish and of course, a source of drinking water for Brookings More....and Harbor. Thank you all for your time and effort toward keeping the Chetco safe. |

Even though we only get to the norht coast and southern Oregon once or twice a year, these beautiful rivers are the reason why. The fishing in this region is fabulous and shouldbe protected for ALL generations More....to come. |
