I am calling to urge Senator ______’s support of including global HIV/AIDS funding & policy in their upcoming conversation with the appropriations committee.

FUNDING: $7.25b for bilateral AIDS programs and $1.75b for the Global Fund

POLICY: We ask that you to include the following paragraph in the "report language":

The Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator is directed to amend the current PEPFAR 5-year strategy to continue through FY2013 the pace of scale up of anti-retroviral therapy achieved during FY2010 and to report to congress the resources which will be needed to achieve this goal, taking into account efficiencies gained and the Congressional mandate in the Lantos-Hyde Act that no less than 50% of funds shall go to treatment and treatment-related services.
