| Health care Sundays continue; Wednesday phone calls August 11, 2009 The MCC Washington Office is encouraging churches who have not yet chosen a Sunday to reflect, pray, and act for health care reform, to select a date. Worship and advocacy resources, as well as background information, are available at the Abundant Life campaign web site, washington.mcc.org/life. Many groups are using the August Congressional recess to press for positive changes to our health care system. Others are using the time to protest any type of reform. It is important for faith voices to be heard, lifting up Jesus’ message of abundant life for all (John 10:10). NOTE: If you are considering holding a prayer vigil or other public event, Faithful Reform in Health Care’s “Let Our Light Shine” toolkit is a helpful resource. Visit www.faithfulreform.org.
