September 15th, 2012 Bulldog Creek Hike

Bulldog Creek
Description: This hike goes up Bulldog Creek, which drains the back side of Mt. Sopris. The somewhat overgrown trail quickly enters a narrow valley which contains old mining ruins. This valley features unique ecology, with moist forest on one side and the gnarled doug firs and ponderosas on the flank of Sopris. The goal of the hike is a surprising waterfall near an old mining tunnel.
