Virtual Community Conversation in SECOND LIFE: Our Budget, Our Economy
Thousands of Americans will come together on June 26, 2010, all over the US, to weigh-in on the strategies our nation can take to ensure a strong economic recovery and a sustainable fiscal future. We think this is an important issue for every American to weigh-in on. Our ability to manage our budget and deficit responsibly -- or not -- will impact our children and grandchildren's lives. That's why we're co-hosting a Community Conversation in the virtual world known as Second Life. You don't need to travel, just sign on to the internet (high speed access required) and call into a phone number. We'll teach you how to use the Second Life platform in order to participate. (You will need to create a free Second Life account -- they're free -- and download Second Life onto your computer.) AmericaSpeaks will provide educational tools and a discussion guide. Please join us in Second Life on June 26, 2010 from 8:30am-noon Pacific! Co-hosted by ■ California NIF Network ■ Deliberative IDEAS, a Deliberative Practice group in Second Life ■ World Café ■ Center for Voter Deliberation of Northern Virginia ■ PublicDecisions ■ Texas Forums
