Community Screening of FRESH the Movie

FRESH, a film by Ana Sofia Joanes will be shown on Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Abraham Lincoln Unitarian Universalist Congregation (ALUUC), 745 Woodside Drive, Springfield, IL. The event is co-sponsored by Springfield Slow Food and ALUUC. The film will be shown at 7:00 pm, followed by a discussion. Desserts and beverages will be available. FRESH celebrates the farmers, thinkers and business people who are re-inventing our food system. Progressing from the industrial model, food contamination, environmental pollution, depletion of natural resources, and morbid obesity to forging healthier, sustainable alternatives, they offer a practical vision for a future of our food and our planet.
