Tell Oakland Mayor Jean Quan to stop police brutality on Occupy Oakland and investigate violent attack on Iraq veteran Scott Olsen

On the evening of October 25, Oakland police brutually cracked down on protesters at Occupy Oakland.

One of the police victims is Iraq war veteran, Scott Olsen, an IVAW member who sustained a skull fracture when he was hit in the head with a police projectile.  Scott is in stable but critical condition at a local Oakland hospital.

Scott is one of many veterans who have returned home and gotten involved in the Occupy protests taking place in hundreds of cities around the nation.  Veterans like Scott recognize that they are part of the 99% who face uncertain economic futures, including few job prospects and rising tuition costs.

Scott was exercising his right to freedom of speech and assembly, values he served as a Marine to defend, when he and others were attacked in a shameful brutal crackdown by police.

Demand that Oakland Mayor Jean Quan investigate the conduct of the police at Occupy Oakland resulting in the critical injury of Iraq vet Scott Olsen.
