Cameron Diaz has been quoted as saying “I'd kiss a frog even if there was no promise of a Prince Charming popping out of it. I love frogs”. She also recently got chosen by Time Magazine as a 2009 Environmental Hero.

Furthermore, when we offered Cameron's publicist Brad Cafarelli a list of five simple ways Cameron could help SAVE THE FROGS!, Brad told us that "unfortunately Cameron will be unable to participate in the campaign". Why isn't Cameron taking a stand to protect the world's most endangered group of animals -- one she claims to love?

Dear Cameron,

I am writing to request you assist worldwide frog conservation efforts.

You were voted a 2009 Environmental Hero by Time Magazine and have been quoted as saying “I'd kiss a frog even if there was no promise of a Prince Charming popping out of it. I love frogs”. However, you have yet to take any action to protect endangered frog populations.

Frogs are under severe threat and at least 2,000 of the world's 6,585 amphibian species are in imminent danger of extinction. Up to 200 species have already gone completely extinct in recent years. The continued disappearance of frogs will have severe consequences for Earth's ecosystems and for humans. As an extremely small proportion of the world's population is aware of this environmental catastrophe, it is of critical importance that celebrities like yourself take a stand to protect these wonderful animals on which both Earth's ecosystems and humans depend.

Save The Frogs (www.savethefrogs.com) is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to amphibian conservation. Here are four simple ways you can help Save The Frogs, and in so doing provide a valuable service to society and the planet, while at the same time building your image as an environmentally responsible celebrity.

(1) Take the lead role in a 30-second Save The Frogs Public Service Announcement.

(2) Attend one of Save The Frogs Founder & Executive Director Dr. Kerry Kriger's public lectures on the amphibian extinction crisis and inform the press you will be there.

(3) Publicly wear a ladies’ 100% organic cotton SAVE THE FROGS! t-shirt, which Save The Frogs can provide you at no cost.
