San Diego Endangered Species Day Celebration at the Living Coast Discovery Center!

Come celebrate Endangered Species Day with us at the Living Coast Discovery Center (formerly the Chula Vista Nature Center) and meet the locals - both endangered and non! Enjoy a fun filled afternoon complete with animal encounters, native plant tours, arts and crafts, an endangered species scavenger hunt, prizes and more! Don't forget our new Washed Ashore Exhibit! Guests will be able to participate in an interactive marine debris mural lead by marine debris artist Teresa Espinoza and New Ocean Blue volunteers. There will also be an exciting and informative turtle talk given by Sheila Madrak, SDSU/UC Davis PhD candidate discussing San Diego's very own population of Eastern Pacific Green Sea Turtles. Artwork of San Diego County finalists for the Endangered Species Day Art Contest will be on display in our Galleria for all to see throughout your visit! For more information, contact us at cvncinfo@cvnc.us or call 619-409-5900. We look forward to celebrating with you!
