FLAME DAY is Blackman Middle Schools annual carnival held during school for the 1000+ 6th-8th graders. Each year BMS chooses a movie to show its students as part of the activity rotations. We have chosen to show "Born to be Wild" the 40 minute documentary film showing the reintroduction of orphaned elephants and orangutans to the wild. We have also partnered with the Nashville Zoo to have a presenter who will bring live rehabilitated animals. We would like to use the "Endangered Species Day" as an inspiration for our event and teach our students about this awesome "holiday" .Our event is May 18th which just so happens to be such!
