In honor of Endangered Species Day, we’re inviting kids to enter the 3rd Annual Endangered Species Day Coloring and Writing Contest at Stone Zoo! Do you know Stone Zoo is home to a number of endangered species including jaguars, Mexican gray wolves, Panamanian golden frogs, hyacinth macaws and others? Draw a picture of your favorite endangered species or write a short piece about the animal, detailing why they are endangered or what you can do to help. We’ll accept entries through May 18. The winners of each age group will be contacted and announced on Saturday, May 19, and will receive a certificate of recognition and the honor of having their work framed and displayed in the Animal Discovery Center! Visit the Zoo on May 19 and you'll get a close-up look at our endangered species.
