Most Americans have heard about genetically modified (GMO) foods, but many are not aware that ingredients from these foods are common in thousands of products on supermarket shelves. Why don't Americans know about this vast food experiment occurring today on our dinner plates? Because unlike consumers in Europe, Japan, China and dozens of other countries, Americans do not have labels to tell us when foods contain these risky, untested genetically altered ingredients.

Senator Barbara Boxer (CA) and Representative Peter DeFazio (OR) have circulated a letter to their colleagues in Congress that calls on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to require labels on GMO food. They need Senators and Congress-people to sign-on in support of the letter in the next few days, so they can present it to the FDA with strong, bi-partisan support.

Please email your U.S. Senators and Representative TODAY and urge them to join the Boxer-DeFazio letter in support of GMO food labeling!
