The Salmon West Project, located in the southern part of the Allegheny National Forest (ANF) proposes actions including over 2,140 acres of serial clear-cuts, over 10 miles of road construction (8 of which is re-construction), 13 acres of stone pit expansion and new pit excavation, over 1,753 acres of herbicide application, 1,431 acres of fencing, over 526 acres of prescribed burning, as well as other “treatments.” This project is part of an ANF projects total since November 2009 of over 20,000 acres of serial clear-cuts, and over 10,000 acres of herbicide application.....Read More and Take Action!
