On May 12 and 13, and June 6 and 7, 2011, Cathy Pedler, Forest Watch Coordinator for the Allegheny Defense Project (ADP), and Neil Woodworth, Executive Director of the Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) walked the boundary between the Allegany State Park in New York, and the Allegheny National Forest in Pennsylvania. Cathy Pedler represents the Allegheny Defense Project on the Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) to accept project proposals that would enhance forest ecosystems or restore and improve land health and water quality on the Allegheny National Forest (see USFS press release below). Summer Outing! Mark Your Calendar!
August 5-7, 2011 the Allegheny Defense Project (ADP) will hold its Summer Outing! We will camp near the Darling Branch (tributary of Bobb's Creek) and recreate in and around Mayburg, including a float down Tionesta Creek on Saturday August 7. We will have a Forest Watch Update and Strategy sessions during the weekend, but intend to primarily have fun! Please bring all of your own gear, but let us know if you do not have camping supplies and we may be able to help you out....Read More.
