The Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund will hold a Democracy School on December 3, 2011, at Mount St. Benedict in Erie, PA. RSVPs are necessary with a $10 non-refundable donation fee. Lunch and coffee-tea service will be provided. The school will be a one day event from 9AM to 5PM. Participants will be provided with all necessary materials (RSVP early--books are available for the first 35 attendees). We would ask potential attendees to review the description of the democracy school on the celdf website before they RSVP. We would like attendees to be prepared to use the knowledge and skills they gain at the Democracy School to protect their families, homes, and communities.
This event is being co-sponsored by the Charlene M. Tanner Speaker Series, The Benedictine Sisters of Erie, and the Allegheny Defense Project.
The Charlene M. Tanner Speaker Series was founded in memory of Charlene M. Tanner by her loving partner, Doris Cipolla. Because of their shared interests in social justice, peace, and the environment, it is hoped that this program will inspire others to help create a healing environment for the world.
