Enough is enough, from the lawless marcellus shale gas companies, to a governor elected with gas money and the rogue legislature and agencies that should be working for the people's constitutional right to clean air, pure water, and to the preservation of the natural, scenic, historic and esthetic values of the environment...including generations yet to come.
Many citizens’ families are ill from unconventional hydrocarbon shale gas extraction and hydrofracking. Dr. Goldstein of the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health stated, “…there will be disease clusters and lawsuits…”
Our land grant university, Penn State, is caught taking gas industry money to crank out discredited research to influence public policy in Pennsylvania.
In 2010, PA Homeland Security was caught carrying out surveillance of "extremist" citizens opposed to hydrofracking, supplying intelligence about citizens to the gas industry. Now, "My Range Resources” and Anadarko are caught advocating the use of military psyops propaganda and tactics against the citizen "insurgency".
In 6 years, no public process has been carried out to assess the total life cycle of impacts to our environment and communities from shale gas extraction while an irresponsible legislature is caught colluding with gas companies behind closed doors to construct legislation that would pollute our environment, degrade our quality of life, steal our property rights with forced pooling, and take away our right to local self government weighing all that against the wants and will of one special interest industry.
Pennsylvania’s legislators are on uncharted waters legally and politically.
