On March 8 and 9, Transportation Equity Network was featured in two different NPR shows which aired nationally.

First, Stephen Boykewich, Communications Director for TEN appeared on Marketplace with Kai Ryssdal to speak specifically to the lack of workforce equity in stimulus funding: "There's no single outlet where members of communities that may be underserved in the allocation of stimulus contracts can go and see: OK, exactly where did this money go."

Also, Laura Barrett, TEN's Executive Director appeared with Richard Copeland, founder and CEO of THOR Construction Company, on NPR's show the Takeaway.  Together, they discussed how and why minority businesses have been receiving disproportionately small number of stimulus contracts; and also, what broad effect that may have on the nation’s economic recovery on the whole.
