Our newest staff members!
As we continue to embark on our journey of enhancing the lives of women. It is our pleasure to announce the newest staff members that have joined the National Women's Health Network (NWHN).
Shaniqua Seth our new Health Communications Manager comes to the NWHN with a wealth of experience as it relates to women's health. She spent five years working as a Health Information Specialist for the National Women's Health Information Center (NWHIC), which is sponsored by the Department of Health and Human Services, Office on Women's Health. Working there allowed her to gain a lot of experience supporting various women's health projects as well as working alongside women to enable them to make more informed choices regarding their health care needs. Just recently she completed her Master's in Healthcare Administration and she looks forward to expanding our health communications department through various communication methods that will continue to enhance the lives of women. Shaniqua also looks forward to working with our interns to encourage their professional development young feminists and advocates on behalf of women's health!
Kate Ryan our new Program Coordinator will work to develop and implement a program of legislative and regulatory advocacy that focuses on reducing women's exposure to unnecessary drug and medical treatment risks. Prior to joining the NWHN, Kate worked in the Capitol Hill office of U.S. Representative Joe Sestak (D-PA), where she worked on the women's issues portfolio and managed a variety of constituent services programs. In Ghana, Kate volunteered with the Alliance for Reproductive Health Rights to monitor and assess availability of, and access to, women's sexual and reproductive health services. Kate received her MPA in International Public & Non-Profit Management and Policy Analysis with a focus on women's rights from the NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. She is passionate about women's health rights and is thrilled to join the NWHN team!
