Dear Friends,

Well, we certainly have our work cut out for us in 2012. Our action plan for the upcoming year is ambitious, because it needs to be.  You have told us what you need to keep you and your family healthy and safe and the Network won’t settle for anything less.

In 2012, you can count on the Network to continue the fight to make sure that emergency contraception is available to those who need it.  We will continue to take on Big Pharma to enact an honest labeling system for prescription drugs.  We will work hard to end the misguided relationship between our doctors and drug reps.  And we will continue to do battle against those who want to deny women the hard-earned right to contraception without co-pays in the name of religion.

We face significant challenges today, but we are confident that we will continue to see progress.  For more than 35 years, the Network has taken on opponents with deep pockets and extensive political influence. We have succeeded by coming together, showing our strength in numbers, and demanding equality and excellence in our health care. We’ve learned that persistence -- backed up by strong understanding of policy and a network of activists ready to speak out -- pays off.

That’s why I hope you will stand with us in 2012.  By making a year-end gift today, you will help us hit the ground running next year, ready to represent women’s interests and support them in making their own health care decisions.  

So, as the year draws to a close and we look ahead to 2012, let’s move forward with joy, optimism, and determination.  Together.
