Dear Friends,

If you’re like me, your email inbox is already filling up with “Give Thanks” messages.  Even though I struggle to keep up with my email, I really enjoy the “Give Thanks” messages.  When I read a message from a group I care about explaining what they’re thankful for, I get a little boost.  And the turkey graphics are pretty cute, too.

So what does the Network have to be thankful for this year?  Lots!  We’re thankful for an election season when women’s voices and votes made a difference, we’re thankful for birth control with no copay, we’re thankful that the FDA is making it easier for consumers to report safety problems, we’re thankful that the country responded with outrage when a Congressional committee refused to let a woman testify at a hearing on birth control and we’re thankful for the Supreme Court decision upholding the new health care law.  But most of all, we’re thankful for you – our supporters.

The Network was started by a small group of women determined to make big changes in the way the health care system treated women.  That small group of activists grew to include thousands of individual supporters – people like you who take action when it is needed and make contributions to support our work.  You make it possible for us to take on the tough fights and long campaigns.

So here’s my “Give Thanks” message.  The Network is thankful for you!

Sincerely,

Cindy Pearson
Executive Director
