Demos/U.S. PIRG Senate Briefing on Super PACs

The briefings will feature findings from the February 2012 report Auctioning Democracy: The Rise of Super PACs and the 2012 Election and its new appendix Auctioning Democracy: Business Contributions to Super PACs.  The report was featured in MSNBC, Washington Post, Politico, Roll Call, American Prospect, Bloomberg, The Week, and other outlets.

Report authors will discuss sources of Super PAC funding, why their findings are troubling for American democracy, and policy recommendations for pushing back on the Super PAC menace.
