End Funding for Abstinence-Only-Until-Marriage Programs

The United States has spent more than $1.5 billion on abstinence-only-until-marriage programs that have been shown to be ineffective and a waste of taxpayer dollars.  Study after study has shown that these programs often mislead students about condoms and contraception, contain ridiculous gender stereotypes, and intentionally leave students in the dark about how to protect their health and lives.

Our schools must not promote ignorance in the era of AIDS.  It's time to stop wasting money on abstinence-only-until-marriage programs once and for all.
