On Wednesday, July 11th the House Agriculture Committee will "mark-up" their version of the Farm Bill. The Committee released their disscussion draft of the bill last Thursday. It includes over $35 billion in spending cuts over the next 10 years, about half of which ($16 billion) will be pulled directly from SNAP.  Compare this to the Senate version of the bill released in June, already a dissapointment to anti-hunger advocates, which includes $4.5 billion in SNAP cuts. Such drastic cuts in the House version of the bill will make it more difficult for millions of struggling families and individuals to access enough food.
