GetEQUAL is partnering with Freedom to Marry and a coalition of other LGBT organizations to counter the hatred and fear that the National Organization for Marriage is stirring up with their "Summer for Marriage Tour." **While we want to organize alongside Freedom to Marry to fight back against this hatred, we also realize that coverage of NOM's events and of our counter-events will reach the eyes and ears of many who have not yet sorted through their ideas about extending marriage to same-sex couples. We are not interested in confrontations that create an atmosphere of attack or name-calling but, rather, want to create counter-events that highlight the love and life that exists within the LGBT community.
