Duke/Progress Energy Public Hearing

Because Duke-Progress is a monopoly, it is regulated by the NC Utilities Commission, which is supposed to protect the public’s interests. Duke Energy’s rate hikes and expansion plans must be approved by this Commission and we’re calling on all concerned citizens to attend upcoming public hearings to express their opposition to a dirty and costly energy future!

Need a ride from Durham? Greenway Transit is looking for enough people to have a shuttle the day of the hearing. If you're interested, please contact Marc Dreyfors at marc@theforestfoundation.org before this Friday, February 8th. You can reserve a seat for $10.
