Dear VoteVets.org Supporter,
A few weeks ago, VoteVets Action Fund started to air three-weeks of positive ads, highlighting the amazing story of Tulsi Gabbard, the Iraq War Veteran running for Congress in Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional district. Today, a new poll is out showing an astounding 45 point swing in Tulsi’s favor since the ad ran! Now we’re calling on all of our supporters to donate to her campaign to push her over the top and win this race.

A new, independent Merriman River Group poll released today shows Tulsi has taken between a 1-to-4 point lead in her primary race. That represents a 45 point swing since the first round of polling, which occurred before VoteVets Action Fund aired three weeks of television advertisements, at a total of $120,000. Those ads were the first independent expenditure ads in the race.
There is no question that the more people get to know Tulsi and her amazing biography, the more they like her. She has worked tirelessly to introduce herself to the people of the district. We’re pleased that we could also play a part in asking people to take a look at her amazing record of service. It’s very clear from this polling that when people get to know what Tulsi is about, they like her as much as her fellow Hawaii veterans do.
Tulsi has an amazing record of public service. She volunteered for military service following 9/11, as was deployed as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. She was the first legislator to step away from her office to serve in war, deploying again. She’s served in her community, working on public health and environmental issues. There is no doubt she’ll bring that stellar commitment to her community and veterans to Washington.

Thanks for all of your support.
