American democracy, as it's called, is feeling extremely wobbly - like an old foundation holding up an ever more complex and unbalanced structure. Truthout is exposing the rot, replacing some of the old cement and putting in new eco-friendly lumber in place of the beams chewed to sawdust by termites.
