March 19th, 2011 Marks 8 Years of War in Iraq
Tell Obama & Congress: Bring Our Troops & Tax Dollars Home
March 19, 2011 will mark the 8th anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq and the beginning of the 9th year of occupation. Though many believe the war in Iraq is over, there are still troops there in harm's way, carrying out combat operations. According to many analysts, the U.S. will continue to occupy Iraq indefinitely. At the same time, we are continuing to send more troops into Afghanistan.
These wars are costing us too much. We want our troops and tax dollars brought home to our communities. Will you join us in the streets and in the halls of Congress?
MFSO will be gathering in Washington DC for a weekend of actions, trainings, and lobbying. Click here to find out more about coming to DC
If you can't make it to DC, we encourage you to organize or attend a local action to show your opposition to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Search below for an event in your area, and if there isn't one, consider organizing one yourself! If you have questions or need ideas, contact samantha@mfso.org
