Respect and Recognition for Domestic Workers
Thank you for helping to win respect and recognition for domestic workers.
Can you take another minute to make a phone call to #BeTheHelp for domestic workers? Calls are more effective than emails.
- If you live in California, find your state senator's phone number on the right side of this page (there is also a form so you can email them, if you want).
- If you live outside California, can you call Governor Brown's office at (916) 445-2841 and leave a message asking him to support and sign AB889?
- If you've made a phone call, please let us know. Thank you for taking action!
Sample Script: "My name is ________ and I am calling to urge the Governor to pass AB889, the California Domestic Worker Bill of Rights. Domestic Workers have been excluded from basic protections for generations, and take care of what we value most, our loved ones and homes. The Governor has the opportunity to right this historic wrong and end the exclusion of Domestic Workers. I hope he will support AB889."
#BeTheHelp is a campaign of the National Domestic Workers Alliance that encourages people like you to take simple actions that create respect, recognition and protections for domestic workers in California and across America.
