Thanks for clicking through to send a letter to the editor about the progress we're making toward amending the Constitution to overturn Citizens United.

We've provided an opening for your letter and some easy talking points here -- you'll see them after you select your paper, below.  You can simply click on the talking points you like to put them into your letter.  Of course, your own words are even better, so feel free to rewrite.  Please put in your own subject line too.

You'll need to provide your phone number, email, city and state.  Papers won't print your contact info, but editors need it to verify that your letter really came from you.

  • Amending the Constitution requires 2/3 of each chamber of Congress -- that's 67 Senators and 290 Representatives -- plus 3/4 of the states -- that's 38 states.

  • 24 U.S. Senators and 75 U.S. Reps. have introduced or co-sponsored amendments to overturn Citizens United.

  • 11 states have formally called for an amendment, including two, Montana and Colorado, where the voters statewide just voted on Tuesday to call for one.

  • The 2012 election was by far the most expensive election in U.S. history.

  • The 11 States that have called for an amendment now include: Hawaii, New Mexico, Vermont, Rhode Island, California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Montana, and Colorado.
