Take Action! Ask Congress to Preserve SAMHSA Funding
The House and Senate are in negotiations about the fiscal year 2012 budget and we need your help today to preserve critical funding for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
The House bill would cut SAMHSA funding by 8.4% including drastic reductions in what are known as Projects of Regional National Significance (PRNS) such as the Recovery Community Services Program (RCSP), Recovery Month and other public education and technical assistance activities at the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, See the attached chart for more detailed information about the proposed cuts. The “Field” request in the chart is the funding request from addiction prevention, treatment and recovery community organizations.
You can personalize and edit the letter below by including information about yourself, your organization and your community.
